What is Parkinson's Disease (PD)?
Parkinson’s disease is a chronic and progressive condition. It is caused by the degeneration of brain cells that produce dopamine, which primarily impacts the areas responsible for controlling movement.
How does Parkinson's affect people's lives?
Parkinson's affects a person's motor skills, which leads to tremors, rigidity, and slowness of movement as well as non-motor impairments like mood changes, sleep disturbances, and cognitive impairments.
