With exactly two weeks to my car’s debut, I finally finished all of the suspension work.

In the front: Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs, adjustable camber plates, new CV axles, new lower control arms, new tie rod ends, new axle bearings (thank you Chapel Hill Tires), new ABS sensors, MSI racing studs (thank you MSI), new brake calipers, new brake rotors, new brake pads, and stainless brake lines.

In the rear: Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs, sway bar, new hubs with new axle bearings, MSI racing studs, new drum brake hardware, new brake shoes, new brake drum, and stainless brake lines.

By far the scariest part was cutting into the strut towers to expose the adjustable camber plates, but I got it done, and it looks pretty good.  While I don’t think it’s needed, I rolled the fenders, which was fun.

On the fundraising front, I am almost at 20% of my goal. PLEASE consider a donation toward Parkinson’s research. Any donation, however small, helps.  Here again is the link to my Zeffy site:

Happy Mother's Day! It’s a rainy day today and a perfect time to get some work done! School is coming to a close soon…which means exams...

About Me

wmremove-transformed (3) (1)_edited.jpg

Hi! My name is Maya Brandt, and I am a rising senior at Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill. I love cars, robots, and horses! When I'm not at the track or in the lab with my FTC robotics team, you'll probably find me at the barn, on the ski slopes, or reading a book. My favorite book is The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.
